Why We Our Love For Best Double Buggy (And You Should Also!)

The Best Double Buggy Strollers

A double buggy is perfect when you are expecting twins, or if you have two children of different age groups. The best ones are simple to manoeuvre and handle rough surfaces and kerbs.

They also come with features like large sun canopies as well as hoods that are transparent and seats that are adjustable.

1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double

The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel and easily fits through the majority of normal doors thanks to its slim design. It's also one of the lightest double buggies on the market, weighing just 14lbs when folded. This makes it ideal for traveling with a baby and toddler since you won't exceed airline luggage allowances. It can also be folded up into the size of an incredibly small travel bag so you can store it in the back of your car.

It's easy to fold the Z-shape by using one hand. Once you're used to it, it's small and takes only a few just a few seconds. However our tester found the auto lock a bit confusing. Also, since the handlebar isn't locked into place when you press it, it hit her legs when she was using it. The handlebar was a bit too short and especially with the large changing bag hanging from it.

As opposed to other light travel buggies, this doesn't skimp on features and is one of the most feature-packed  double stroller s on the market. It is compatible with two carrycots (available separately), features several recline positions and an UV 50+ canopy. You can also add the bassinet to either or both seats and transform it into a travel system.

The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements as well as urban terrain. However, they were not designed for off-roading. They had a hard time with gravel and long grass and there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel bracket and the wheel which meant that mud could get stuck easily. Our tester loved this vehicle, and it was able to climb pretty dirt hills.

2. iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange double buggy is the ultimate in style, versatility and quality. It is a must-have for parents who want a chic and durable double buggy that lasts. The Orange features a sleek frame that is lightweight and sleek with an enormous basket that can easily accommodate two car seats. It has a luxurious, interchangeable water repellent and breathable canopy with mesh ventilation. It comes in trendy colours such as Pistachio on a Jet Black Frame, Fossil on a Jet Black Frame, and Rose. The option of adding an integrated ride for older siblings is also available.

The 2021 update comes with several changes, including improved manoeuvrability and an even better, larger shopping basket with a new bumper bar and leatherette cover. The seats are moulded and are really comfortable. They're also adjustable so they can be placed to meet siblings' needs. iCandy have introduced the first ever "cinema" seating design enabling parents to keep eye contact with both children. They can be repositioned to face either the parent or the world.

It's a heavier tandem buggie but it's easy to operate and drive especially on smooth pavements. It is stable in double and single mode, and even on sloped terrain. It's not as simple to drive on public transport, however, as it requires more than one hand to grip the handlebar. It's also heavy and will not fit into a standard car boot without the seat attached, but this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy have included the footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters in the price, so it's an excellent value package for new parents.

3. Joie Evalite Duo

This is a tandem stroller that's extremely light. It has two non-reversible seats, suitable for babies up to 3 years old. The rear seat can also be used to accommodate car seats.

It has an easy and user-friendly folding mechanism, which makes it convenient for storage and travel. It also comes with a large basket that is ideal to store your baby and toddler's essentials.

The Joie Evalite Duo double buggy is a great option for those who are just starting out, since it is inexpensive and easy to use. It is also extremely lightweight and easy to push over long distances. It is equipped with a top-quality suspension system that guarantees an enjoyable ride for both children and parents.

This stylish and practical city stroller can be used by twins or a toddler and a baby or even three children with the addition of UPPAbaby’s"PiggyBack" board (sold separately). Its sleek frame and compact dimensions make it ideal for shopping malls and crowded city streets. The swivel wheel on the front and four-wheel suspension allows it to maneuver over uneven or slightly rough terrain.

Another great feature is that this buggy is able to accommodate a car seat in the back seat making it a great choice for families who plan on traveling. It features the one-click fold that secures it and is compatible with a variety of Joie infant car seat. It also has a spacious basket and comfortable seats for both kids. The only downside is that the front seat can't recline fully, which may be a problem for infants and babies. It's a great choice if you are seeking a light and low-cost stroller.

4. Cybex Gazelle S

This is the stroller you need for twins if you're expecting. It's the first travel system manufactured by Cybex and comes with adaptors that allow you to transform a single pushchair into a double. The adaptors on the upper end can slide upwards and downwards to accommodate your height whilst the lower ones can be turned around and flipped over which makes it a breeze to switch from one configuration to another. The Gazelle's seats also recline into a pretty flat position and come with an extended, large UV 50+ sun canopy, which is essential for your little ones.

It is suitable from birth as a mono pushchair and from 4 years old as double, with the addition of the CLOUD Z i-Size car seats or a second seat unit or Gazelle Cot, this is the future-ready stroller that adapts to your family. The new harness with one-pull makes securing your child a simple and easy process - ideal when you're carrying your baby on your back!

The Gazelle S is unique to other double strollers as it folds compactly with both seats attached. This makes it simple to store at home or even in your trunk. A large lower basket can accommodate up to 25 pounds. of shopping, everyday essentials, or food items. A detachable basket for shopper's gives you even more space. This stroller is highly versatile and child-friendly due to its single-pull harness and large recline. It also comes with puncture-proof tires so you don't have to worry about flat tires during your adventures.

5. Nipper Double V5

The Nipper Double V5 from Out 'n' About is a new version of the award-winning all-terrain buggy. It was designed for twins or siblings, and comes with independent reclining chairs, compatibility with carrycots and a lightweight framework that allows for easy maneuverability on bumpy terrain.

The height adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension ensure an enjoyable ride for children up to 22kg, while the durable pneumatic tyres are easy to wipe clean and give a smooth ride when running. The 360 swivel front wheel can be locked to make it easier to maneuver around the city, and the single pedal easy-lock brake is simple to use.

Our testers found that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to navigate, even on rough terrain or when turning in a busy road. They were also awed by the fact that both seats recline independently. This means they can be adjusted to fit individual needs - ideal for napping.

The hoods were also easy to adjust for sun or wind protection. They didn't provide as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth packing an additional rain cover in the case.

Overall, our test participants loved the way that the Nipper Double allowed them to take their twins Sydney and Lyla on a variety of adventures, from seeing wildlife in the woods, to rush to the park for a quick playdate. The testers were also impressed by how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There's plenty of room for toddlers who are growing. Our testers did note, however, that the absence of parent-facing seating and inability to use car seats in this buggy was a drawback, and they would like to see more storage space for shopping and other gear.
